MidsBears Social
MidsBears Social is the regular, welcoming heart of the Midlands bear community. Run by a volunteer-led non-profit group that has been bringing bears, cubs, otters and their admirers together since 2012, these socials offer a relaxed space to meet, chat and simply enjoy being among like-minded men.
Held regularly in Birmingham’s Gay Village, most often at The Hub @ Eden Bar, the evenings are deliberately low-pressure and inclusive. Whether you are a long-time face on the scene or someone just finding your place in the bear world, the atmosphere is friendly, supportive and free of judgement. Entry is usually modest for non-members and free for those who hold an annual MidsBears membership, making it easy to drop in, stay for a drink or two, and leave when you like.

The focus is on conversation, connection and community rather than a high-energy club night. You will find a mix of familiar regulars and newcomers, a chance to catch up with friends, make new ones, and feel part of something steady and local. Alongside the monthly socials, the same group organises other gatherings throughout the year—coffee mornings, themed evenings, markets and bigger club nights—so the social sits at the centre of a wider calendar of Midlands bear events.
In short, MidsBears Social is the straightforward, no-fuss gathering that keeps the Midlands pack connected. It is the kind of night where you can arrive as you are, stay as long as you want, and leave knowing there will be another one along soon.
