Spanish bear-band Barb@zul made international waves in 2010 with their sexy, gay soccer-themed video I don’t care and hope to build on that momentum with the equally entertaining sequel.
Midnight In Berlin picks up where their last clip left off – with band member Lázaro ditching his unfaithful boyfriend before heading to the German capital for some much needed rest and relaxation.
Only he’s miserable and spends all his time in gay bars, while horny Juan (his ex) hits up the nearest darkroom.
It plays like a gay soap opera and is completely addictive, despite – or perhaps, because of – a final twist that beggars belief.
The song itself is another slick synth-pop anthem which is heavily influenced by 80s icons like Depeche Mode and the Pet Shop Boys.
Fans of Euro-pop will particularly enjoy the catchy chorus and high energy production.
With Sydney’s huge bear scene and the band’s growing international profile, surely it’s time for the boys to visit our shores.
